Directed, shot, and edited this music video for artist Akil Davis as part of the Megastar competition, where hundreds of thousands competed for a million-dollar prize and a chance to meet Usher. We ended up in the top three, and Akil got the opportunity to meet Usher personally. The shoot was intense and entirely live—capturing Akil performing at multiple events in real-time. I used frenetic handheld camera work, hyperlapses, timelapses, and high-energy editing to create a vibrant visual style that matched the excitement and immediacy of his performances. Definitely a memorable project with huge payoff.
